Ways to Stay Fit

There are a number of ways to stay fit these days. The thing is, you need to find something you love doing so you stick to it.

Not everyone loves the gym. Some people prefer to exercise alone or out in the open. 

There are lots of ways to stay fit that don't involve pumping weights.


  • Dancing classes: There are places where you can go do adult dancing classes. Dancing is a great way to workout. It's fun and it's also great for your brain as it helps your memory.  Check out this website for super fun classes. https://www.dancedynamics.com.au/
  • Park Run: This is run every Saturday morning at 8 am. It's a 5klm course and the best part is, there are many different locations around Australia. Now you might be thinking, I can't run 5klms. Well, you don't need to run it, you can walk it and the best part, most places allow you to take your children and pooch along. It's a great exercise for the whole family.   • Pilates: This is a method of exercise that consists of low-impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements. Pilates emphasizes proper postural alignment, core strength, and muscle balance. There are a lot of Pilates studios around. This is where I go:  https://www.giapilates.com.au/
  • Swimming: A good all-round activity because it:
    • keeps your heart rate up but takes some of the impact stress off your body.
    • builds endurance, muscle strength, and cardiovascular fitness.
    • helps maintain a healthy weight, healthy heart, and lungs.
    • tones muscles and builds strength.
